Andy Wraight 

He is a versatile drummer due to his wide range of musical experience, from stadium gigs to radio, TV and musical theatre. He has spent 25 years gigging, both locally and nationally, and has toured in France, Germany, Belgium and Spain.

He has also played Glastonbury Festival, and supported Pulp, Status Quo, James Taylor Quartet, The Average White Band and Kingmaker. He is also holds 2 drumming world records and has a broad musical background.

He has passed grades in piano, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, tuned percussion and Grades 1-8 in drum kit. He is a qualified music teacher, having gained a Certificate of Teaching from The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music and an ATCL performance diploma.

Andy is also a member of the Vic Firth Education Team, and has endorsements with Evans, Sabian, Zildjian, Mapex, Remo, Dril and Orange, as well as being a senior tutor for The Swindon School of Contemporary Music and The Percussion Roadshow.

Andy currently runs his own busy teaching studios, employing several other drum and guitar tutors to help him teach more than 300 students a week. He also owns the legendary Industry Studios.

Between teaching and running Industry Studios, he still manages to perform live with his funk band and singer-songwriter Nina Nickelson, as well as lots of session work both studio and live.

He has endorsements with Vic Firth, Meinl Cymbals and Remo.

 

 

 Oscar Stone 

 

 

Originally hailing from Doncaster, Yorkshire, Oscar has being playing the drums since aged 12. After completing his advance performance diploma from Trinity College London, Oscar moved to Brighton to study at the British institue of modern music (BIMM). During his time at BIMM, Oscar had the opportunity to study under some of the UKs top educators, the likes of Pat Garvey and Preston Prince. Oscar graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in professional musicianship. 

 

His playing career has taken him on tours across the UK and Europe and performances at festivals such as 2000 trees, Y not, The Big Festival and Reeperbahn, sharing the stage with acts such as Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Scouting For Girls, The Feeling, Peter Andre and Peace. Oscar has also had the opportunity to record with producer Mark Flannery (Deaf Leppard) and engineer Ed’s John (McFly). 

 

Now based in the South West, Oscar is a drum tutor teaching privately at Andy Wraight’s teaching studios and has been since 2017. He continues to perform in successful function bands all across the UK, playing corporate shows, headlining several festivals and continuing to expand his ever fluency of styles.

Sean is an all-round musician who passed his Grade 8 drum kit exam before leaving school and has since been awarded a performance diploma with Rockschool (DipRSL).

He has been a drum tutor for more than three years, and also teaches guitar and bass.

Sean is the lead guitarist and chief songwriter with Swindon-based punk band The Cold Harbour, who played successful tours of Poland and Germany in 2010, Belgium and Germany in 2011 and Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Austria in 2012.  The band have recently passed 11,300 'likes' on their Facebook page.

Born and bred in Swindon and a former pupil of Kingsdown School, Sean says music continues to be his main interest, and as well as teaching and playing across the whole range of styles from jazz to rock, salsa to reggae and more, he is a keen listener.

His tastes range from jazz drumming by greats such as Buddy Rich and Dave Weckl to music by The Beatles, The Beach Boys and modern bands such as Muse

 

 

 Jordan Marvell 

 

 

 

Jordan Marvell is a multi-instrumentalist from Swindon. He has been playing Drums, Guitar and Ukulele for over 10 years and has had the chance to perform at a wide range of events. Jordan has experience in teaching a variety of ages ranging from 5-55 and is also trained to work with SEN pupils. He loves to keep his lessons fun and exciting to help students feel engaged and motivated throughout their musical journey, this is reflected in the previous results from his pupils graded exams and the opportunities that they have gone on to. 

 

 Emma Milne 

 

 

 

 Emma started to learn drums at the age of 12 but it wasn’t until her lessons with Gemma at Andys that she developed a real passion for drumming. At the age of 15 Emma spent a week shadowing Andy as part of her school work experience and this inspired her to pursue music as a career. Emma then studied Music Technology at college and went on to achieve a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Music Performance, specialising in Education and Latin Funk drumming and was also nominated for a Shaun Baxter Award in Performance- Vocals, at the graduation ceremony.
 
Emma has worked in primary and secondary schools across Swindon, teaching group sessions and tutoring 1:1. She also works with junior brass bands who compete in competitions across the UK. Emma teaches students of all ages and abilities and believes that confidence comes first when learning something new. She always aims to create a fun, positive learning environment and whether you’re looking for structured learning plans or you just want to play for fun, the lesson will always be suited to you.
 
 As well as being passionate about her instrument, Emma is hugely passionate about teaching too. She offers a balance of practical and theory in lessons and enjoys teaching students how to read and write music. Emma immerses herself in to developing knowledge of different learning styles and is constantly improving her ability on the drum kit; absorbing as many different types of music as possible. She always places an emphasis on the importance of time keeping, feel and groove as those are some of our most important jobs!

  

 

 Hannah Butler 

 

Hannah Butler is a Professional Drummer and Tutor based in Swindon and has recently received an endorsement by Bosphorus Cymbals.

Hannah has been playing since she was 13 and has played in over 15 bands in that time. She was first inspired by seeing Craig Blundell perform at a masterclass organised by Andy Wraight. It was his passion and excitement for the drums, which inspired her to follow her dreams. After college Hannah studied at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and graduated with a degree in Professional Musicianship specialising in Drums. During her time at BIMM she had the opportunity to be taught by the very best educators and musicians who are at the height of their careers. These included Pat Garvey who is a regular contributor to the Tech Sessions at idrummag, Preston Prince owner of Tiki Drums and Michael Bowes who has played for artists such as Tears for Fears and Joss Stone etc. It was here she gained knowledge developing her technique and style as a musician, playing with other experienced musicians and learnt the key skills of music teaching and soloing.

Since graduating, Hannah has been teaching privately as a tutor at Andy Wraight’s Teaching Studios, gaining experience playing private functions and playing with a range of different artists including numerous tours and session work at Abbey Road Studios. Hannah is currently looking to expand her teaching, work with other artists and continue developing as a drummer and musician.
