01Andy Wraight
Andy Wraight studied at the prestigious Drum Tech London and has worked with some of the world's greatest drummers, including Kev Wilkinson (China Crisis), Steve Washington (Texas), Jason Bowld (Pitch Shifter), Charlie Morgan (Elton John) and Andy Leask.
He is a versatile drummer due to his wide range of musical experience, from stadium gigs to radio, TV and musical theatre. He has spent 25 years gigging, both locally and nationally, and has toured in France, Germany, Belgium and Spain.
He has also played Glastonbury Festival, and supported Pulp, Status Quo, James Taylor Quartet, The Average White Band and Kingmaker. He is also holds 2 drumming world records and has a broad musical background.
He has passed grades in piano, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, tuned percussion and Grades 1-8 in drum kit. He is a qualified music teacher, having gained a Certificate of Teaching from The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music and an ATCL performance diploma.
Andy is also a member of the Vic Firth Education Team, and has endorsements with Evans, Sabian, Zildjian, Mapex, Remo, Dril and Orange, as well as being a senior tutor for The Swindon School of Contemporary Music and The Percussion Roadshow.
Andy currently runs his own busy teaching studios, employing several other drum and guitar tutors to help him teach more than 300 students a week. He also owns the legendary Industry Studios.
Between teaching and running Industry Studios, he still manages to perform live with his funk band and singer-songwriter Nina Nickelson, as well as lots of session work both studio and live.
He has endorsements with Vic Firth, Meinl Cymbals and Remo.
02Hanna Butler
Hannah Butler is a Professional Drummer and Tutor based in Swindon and has recently received an endorsement by Bosphorus Cymbals.
Hannah has been playing since she was 13 and has played in over 15 bands in that time. She was first inspired by seeing Craig Blundell perform at a masterclass organised by Andy Wraight. It was his passion and excitement for the drums, which inspired her to follow her dreams. After college Hannah studied at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and graduated with a degree in Professional Musicianship specialising in Drums. During her time at BIMM she had the opportunity to be taught by the very best educators and musicians who are at the height of their careers. These included Pat Garvey who is a regular contributor to the Tech Sessions at idrummag, Preston Prince owner of Tiki Drums and Michael Bowes who has played for artists such as Tears for Fears and Joss Stone etc. It was here she gained knowledge developing her technique and style as a musician, playing with other experienced musicians and learnt the key skills of music teaching and soloing.
Since graduating, Hannah has been teaching privately as a tutor at Andy Wraight’s Teaching Studios, gaining experience playing private functions and playing with a range of different artists including numerous tours and session work at Abbey Road Studios. Hannah is currently looking to expand her teaching, work with other artists and continue developing as a drummer and musician.
03Oscar Strone
Originally hailing from Doncaster, Yorkshire, Oscar has being playing the drums since aged 12. After completing his advance performance diploma from Trinity College London, Oscar moved to Brighton to study at the British institue of modern music (BIMM). During his time at BIMM, Oscar had the opportunity to study under some of the UKs top educators, the likes of Pat Garvey and Preston Prince. Oscar graduated in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in professional musicianship.
His playing career has taken him on tours across the UK and Europe and performances at festivals such as 2000 trees, Y not, The Big Festival and Reeperbahn, sharing the stage with acts such as Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, Scouting For Girls, The Feeling, Peter Andre and Peace. Oscar has also had the opportunity to record with producer Mark Flannery (Deaf Leppard) and engineer Ed’s John (McFly).
Now based in the South West, Oscar is a drum tutor teaching privately at Andy Wraight’s teaching studios and has been since 2017. He continues to perform in successful function bands all across the UK, playing corporate shows, headlining several festivals and continuing to expand his ever fluency of styles.
04Victoria Lashmar
Victoria has been drumming for over 20 years and teaching drums for 15 years.
Started at the age of 15 and playing in local rock bands (The Rentals, The Effect, Diablo 13). She has gigged across the UK, and one of her favourite venues was the Cavern Club in Liverpool (where The Beatles used to play!). As well as playing live, Victoria has experience performing in the studio, and has worked with producer Andy Scarth (Skunk Anansie) and Pete Zak (The Levellers).
Victoria’s influencers are Keith Moon (The Who), and bands such as The Prodigy, Muse, Parov Steller, Pendulum and many more!
Drum lessons with Victoria are tailored to you, so whether you want to learn the Grades, or drum along to your favourite songs, it promises to be fun!
Victoria is also SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability) Certified and lessons are adapted accordingly depending on any specific learning needs.
05Neil Thorn
Neil Thorn is a passionate and dynamic teacher who has been working in the music business for three decades. Neil trained with Terry Chambers (Drummer with Grace Jones) and Jim Scott. Neil is a special education teacher with extensive experience working with students with a range of learning disabilities, he is committed to helping students develop skills and is known for his ability to inspire students and help with confidence and self belief. He is also an advocate for diversity and inclusivity and is a great believer that you are never to old to learn. His students range from age 5 to 75 years old.
06Robin Bashere
Robin has been drumming since 11, he enjoys playing all styles (and enjoys trying to mix them together even more). He’s a left hander who plays with a right handed set up (like Ringo!) and feels that this has given him a license to think about things a bit differently over the years and to forge his own style. His drumming heroes include Danny Goffey, Jojo Mayer, Questlove, Steve Adler, Reni.. and Bonham, of course! Robin prides himself on making drumming accessible and engaging, and believes that everyone can learn something from everyone else in order to be the best drummer they can be.
07AJ Pring
Aj is a dedicated teacher with a passion for Drums and Guitar achieving Grade 8 in both instruments. AJ was taught by both Andy Wraight (Drums) and DJ Harman (Guitar). AJ teaches whole classes in both primary and secondary schools as well as providing 1:1 tuition in pupils homes or in our dedicated studio environment. AJ is committed to helping students understand all styles and techniques coving every ability and age group. AJ’s classes are interactive and lessons are catered to the individual needs and goals of the students. He encourages his students to think critically and develop their own creative thinking. He also performs all over the UK playing shows and festivals as a session musician as well as playing in his own band ‘Viduals’ which have been featured on BBC Introducing.
08Sarina Parsons
Sarina is a session drummer and drum teacher based in Swindon, Wiltshire, and is an endorsed artist for Pellwood Drumsticks and Amedia Cymbals.
Since the age of 18, Sarina has had varied experiences playing live and in the studio, offering her skills for a wide variety of cover and original bands and artists. Sarina is an energetic performer and credits John Bonham, Cozy Powell, Sandy West, Ringo Starr, Meg White, Ian Paice, and Bill Bruford, as being some of her main influences to her passion for drumming.
Growing up in Swindon, Sarina first picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of 12 and was drawn towards the drums in an environment where there were very few female drummers. She had her first drum lessons at Andy Wraight Teaching Studios, Swindon and instantly fell in love with the instrument.
Feeling inspired, Sarina furthered her music studies at The Academy of Music and Sound Swindon, achieving a BTEC National Diploma in Music in 2009, a Foundation Degree in Music Performance in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours Degree in Performance Industries in 2013. Throughout her studies, Sarina had the opportunity to be taught by some of the best music educators and musicians and it was here she gained knowledge, developing her technique and style as a drummer and musician.
Sarina is also quickly becoming an experienced drum tutor. In 2010, she realised a love for teaching which lead her to complete The Music Educator Programme at Access to Music Bristol, achieving a Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS). She also teaches drums privately as a tutor at Andy Wraight Teaching Studios and Ultimate Tuition, Swindon..
09Fergus Duffy
Fergus is an inspirational drum teacher who studied with Andy Wraight before continuing his studies at The university of Gloucestershire where his completed his degree. Fergus has a passion for making music accessible and engaging for all his students. Fergus has developed a proven comprehensive program that provides individualised support to each student. He also performs all over the UK playing shows and festivals as a Session musician.
10Oscar Martin
Oscar is a dedicated educator with a diverse background in teaching and learning new things. His repertoire includes everything from Classical Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Drums and Keyboards. He teaches these both in schools as well as 1:1 home and studio lessons. Oscar loves to incorporate technology into his lessons and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to engage his students. He is known for his patience and his ability to inspire students to achieve their academic and personal goals. He teaches the full range, from complete beginners to advance level with very effective teaching methods. Oscar has achieved Grade 8 in both Electric and Acoustic Guitar as well as level a 4 Professional Diploma.
